How to
Request ARCH
ARCH may be contacted by calling our 24/7 Communi -cations Center at 1-800-325-9191. Please provide
the following information to our Communications Center:

Name and organization of requesting party
-
Telephone call-back number to verify information
-
Number and approximate age of patients
-
Location of landing area in reference to a major
visual reference point intersection of major
highways, vehicle with flashing light water tower,
body of water, flare or beacon
-
EMS responders may also use pre-designated landing
zones
-
Ground contact and radio frequency
When ARCH Communications receives a call, the air
medical crew members are alerted, and the pilot checks
current weather conditions. Upon confirmation of
acceptable weather, ARCH crews can be airborne
and en-route to the hospital or accident scene within
minutes of the request.
Aircraft Standby
If a situation may necessitate
emergency helicopter service, call and place ARCH
on "standby". There is never a charge to the requesting
party for calling ARCH, and standby can save
precious minutes. In the event the helicopter is not
needed, simply cancel the request.
Patients are charged only when
transportation is provided.
